The Wells County Public Library is hosting a Teen/YA Round
Table on Tuesday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. in Bluffton, IN. Water and light refreshments
will be served. Beth Yates,
Children’s Consultant from the State Library, will begin the meeting with a
training presentation on ISL Services for Youth
Librarians. She will discuss the
kits for loaning, writing contests, the Young Reader’s Center, and briefly talk
about grants. This will earn you one LEU.
We will then move onto the round table portion and, hopefully, talk
about many things including the upcoming Summer Reading Program for an
additional LEU. So, bring your ideas,
your questions, and anything else you
would like to share with the group. We
will be catering in a steak and chicken fajita bar with all the trimmings
including chips and salsa from El Camino Real, a local Mexican Restaurant, for
$9.00 a person (drink included). If you
would like to partake in the fajita bar, you will need to indicate so when you
register and bring the $9.00 in cash the day of the round table. For those of you who do not want to eat the Mexican
food, there is a fridge and microwave available for you to bring you own lunch
if you would like to stay and keep talking. Lunch will be around 12:00 pm.
